OSNP – Southwest (SW) is thrilled to announce that we are entering into a new partnership with Bel Cheese Canada Inc.
What will this mean for my Student Nutrition Program (SNP)?
SNPs that:
- Participate in OSNP – SW’s School Food Delivery (SFD) Program;
- Completed the Refrigeration Survey prior to the launch of the 2022.23 SFD Program – Phase One; AND
- Indicated that they would like to receive refrigerated product(s)
Can expect to receive Bel Cheese items as part of the SFD menu!
When Bel Cheese product(s) are listed on the menu and you are due to receive Bel Cheese products, one item will be in place of a produce item.
Note: OSNP – SW cannot make accommodations on menu requests.

If your SNP is participating in SFD, completed the refrigeration survey prior to the launch of the 2022.23 school year and indicated that you can accept refrigerated product – you should expect to receive Bel Cheese based on the schedule listed below.

When should I expect to receive Bel Cheese product?
The Bel Cheese deliveries will be made from October 2022 to May 2023. OSNP – SW expects to include cheese as part of the SFD menu as outlined on the delivery schedule, below.

What if my SNP didn’t complete the Refrigeration Survey or my SNP indicated “no” to accepting refrigerated product, but I would like to participate in receiving refrigerated product?
If your SNP didn’t complete the Refrigeration Survey or your SNP indicated “no” to accepting refrigerated product you will have the opportunity to opt-in to receive refrigerated product in Phase Two. Please reach out to your local Community Development Coordinator for more details.
Can I opt-out of receiving refrigerated product although I indicated “yes” to receiving refrigeration product?
Of course! OSNP – SW is happy to work with SNPs that are no longer able to receive refrigerated product. If you are in this situation, please contact your local Community Development Coordinator for support.
Note: if your SNP opts out to receiving product you will be removed from all refrigerated product opportunities. For example: hard-boiled shelled eggs, yogurt, etc.
