Schools participating in the School Food Delivery Program were sent a simple survey to complete where they were given the chance to select whether or not they would like to receive three weeks of individually packaged bags. Each week they were given three options – perishable, non-perishable or no delivery of bags. Within the survey, they indicated the number of bags they would like to receive, not exceeding the amount they are funded through OSNP.

As a reminder – within the survey, if multiple surveys were submitted, the first submission was recorded and the appropriate information was recorded and used for individual bag planning. Also, stated within the survey, any school(s) that didn’t submit automatically would fall into the default category which was to receive non-perishable bags. Lastly, schools signed off on accepting bags regardless if there are known allergies presented in their schools. If there is a conflict in allergies, they will make appropriate accommodations.

Since the survey closed on January, 7th, 2022, OSNP has been working with Evans Wholesale and Produce Express to develop a plan to distribute individual bags. We are excited to share specific details regarding the individual bags. Please see details below:

To ensure seamless delivery of individual bags, OSNP decided to roll out the breakfast bags in ten weeks, between the week of January 31, 2022 and the week of April 4, 2022, where each community will receive three deliveries. Here is the weekly rotating schedule with corresponding delivery dates.
