A total of 4 schools in the Thames Valley District will be participating in Phase III of the Farm-to-School initiative beginning in March 2018. Student Nutrition Programs at these sites will receive weekly deliveries of vegetables and fruits and one or two supplementary food groups to serve each student a snack/meal 5 days-a-week for a 10-week time frame.  

This model will help address some of the many challenges faced by nutrition programs when trying to operate efficiently and nourish hundreds of children on a daily basis including: food safety, budgeting and manpower.  

Phase I  |  12 weeks in the Spring 2017

Phase II  |  12 weeks in the Fall 2017 | 14 schools 

Phase III  |  12 weeks in Spring 2018 | 4 schools
